House 6 arrives
Tuesday
July 21, 2009
by: Timothy W. Shire
Tisdale:
This project began on April 23rd with excavation started that day and susequently a foam form concrete basement was created but it was not until today that the house was moved into town. As few as two or three houses migrate to Tisdale each year. One of those that moved here last year was moved because contractors were unavailable to build a new house.

Tim's Tip of the Day

It is the very nature of people to make the trival serious and the serious trival. Humour is the most complex emotion and its conventions the most age and genre focused of all the behaviours people have to cope with. You either get it or you don't and if you don't is really doesn't matter.(Click on thumb nail to see full size.)

Kevin's find of the day

More bodies go unclaimed as
families can't afford funeral costs

Its not the cost of dying that is rising is the ability Los Angeles people have to pay for the death of family members. The recession and the accompanying unemployment is the main factor.

Happenings In Tisdale:

"One step"
Monday
July 20, 2009
by: Timothy W. Shire
Tisdale:
Though history records the actual first step on the moon was forty years ago today for those of us caught up in the event it really had been going on all week long and the actually event of astronauts on the moons surface was just part of a remarkable achievement by NASA scientists and the determination by the US government to see through such an expensive project.
The Greenwater report
Monday
July 20, 2009
by: Gerald Crawford
Greenwater Lake Provincial Park:
In this report we get and explanation about last week's missing report and some insight into the strategy of roaming around in a motorhome each summer. The Crawfords attend a Perigord celebration for the Maquette family and tell us about some new lots that are available across the highway from Greenwater Park.

Harvey ND:
Its summer holiday time and we are definitely lagging behind a bit at Ensign. With trips and rest time posting has been spotty and will continue to be so for the next few weeks. We went to a family event in Harvey North Dakota on the July 4th weekend and visited towns, villages, a city and did some serious visiting this story tries to sum up some of the things we learned on our short visit.

Duplex, housing start eleven
Monday

by: Timothy W. Shire
Tisdale:
This project got underway back on May 26th and during this past week its walls began to take shape. One of the main reasons for the slow progress is the size and scope of this project which is roughly equal to two full sized houses.
Canada Day in Regina
Friday
July 3, 2009
by: Timothy W. Shire
Regina:
Progressively year after year the rather constrained Canadian is becoming more and more demonstrable when it comes to showing their patriotism. Steadily we see young Canadians showing their seniors that being proud to be a Canadian is fashionable and perfectly okay for the typically reserved nature of our citizenry.
Dominion Day Challenge, Read your country's foundational documents
Friday
July 3, 2009
by: Robert Ede
Richmond Hill Ontario:
The Canadian constitution is fundamentally much more complex than what we see in the news each day and it is substantially more dynamic than the ancient 1776 document that is the basis for the government of our southern neighbours. Many of our concerns about the Canadian government are covered in the constitional documents but ignored. Check out Mr. Ede's link to the basics that establish Canadian democracy.
Oh Canada
Tuesday
June 30, 2009
by: Timothy W. Shire
Tisdale:
Tomorrow is what we used to call "Dominion Day" but no matter what we call it there is no question that Canadians from coast to coast to coast appreciate their country and are dedicated to preserving those things that make this a great place to live and enjoy our days together. But all is not sweetness and light and we need to be on our guard to stand up for what we know to be Canadian and Canadian values.

Promising, rain and hope
Thursday
June 25, 2009
by: Timothy W. Shire
Tisdale:
Things were looking pretty glum for Saskatchewan's primary industry. Dust bowl conditions and frozen pastures but then we got some rain and the countryside has turn a righteous green. But there is more to consider then just the weather and that's looking up as well.

Tisdale:
That storm cloud today was turned out to be fairly mild but the power of a storm compells our attention as do the events overseas, just as the woes of our economy seem to be insurmountable. This story has a second story with some suggestions.
