Tim's Tip of the Day

As a communications device nothing tops the ability of the human face to show emotions of the widest possible range. Though we often associate facial gestures and communications with the mouth, by far the most important information comes from an individuals eyes and the highlight features around the eyes, thus explaining the emphasis on eye make-up.

Kevin's find of the day

Nobel peace laureate claims HIV deliberately created (pdf) This ABC story is not the first nor the last to relate this staggering allegation about AIDs being created as a biological weapon.

Ensign Notes

Did not post yesterday. We are proud to have a story today by Mike Townsend about one of Canada's true modern heros.

Tisdale Calendar
of Events

Trojans tie with Beardy's Blackhawks
Friday
October 8, 2004
by : Timothy W. Shire
Tisdale : No doubt the team looked a little shell shocked in the first two periods without their coach to guide them so early in the new season but the third period was theirs and despite five minutes of overtime the game ended in a three three tie.
Let there be lights
Thursday
October 7, 2004
by : Timothy W. Shire
Tisdale : The first five lights of the new development downtown were being installed today but will not be turned on until others in the same circuit are installed. (and they are good)
Parkland Photography club September meeting
Thursday
October 7, 2004
by : Gerald Crawford
Greenwater Provincial Park : Three outstanding photos of summer fun are part of this report along with various competitions and projects the club will be involved with.
A straitjacket for our dreams
Thursday
October 7, 2004
by : David Orchard
Borden : Job were lost and most Canadian businesses absorbed or taken over by United States owned companies but those are small loses compared to the really damaging harm Free Trade and NAFTA have done to Canada.
Tisdale welcomes new Bank of Montreal manager, Myrna Bobryk
Wednesday
October 6, 2004
by : Timothy W. Shire
Tisdale : Hot dogs and donuts made a great sunny mid day lunch for Tisdale folks to get a chance to meet the new manager of the Bank of Montreal and bid farewell to Loran Forer.
Big Potatoes
Wednesday
October 6, 2004
by : Donna LaRochelle
Gravelbourg : There are gardeners who deliberately set out to create really big versions of their plants but this was not the case at a farm eight miles north of Gravelbourg where two hills of potatoes weighed thirteen pounds.
Kerry’s vision of ‘change position’ and Bush’s vision of ‘certainty’
Wednesday
October 6, 2004
by : Mario deSantis
Prince Albert : Television commentators would not voice their comments about the success or failure of each candidate in last week's debate until they got the poll results to tell them what to think. That one factor tells you almost all there is to know about the American intellect and their powers of reasoning.
Breast Cancer
Wednesday
October 6, 2004
Images by : Timothy Shire II
Prince George, British Columbia : Participants all across Canada were out on trails and streets in a massive fund raising event for treatment and prevention of breast cancer. Here are two outstanding images from Prince George.
The Greenwater Report
Tuesday
October 5, 2004
by : Gerald Crawford
Greenwater Provincial Park : The frost has bitten Gerald hard as he found it hard to savour the quality of Sunday morning. But all is not gloom as there is a new great grandchild but on the other hand a grandson is stuck in a Chinese airport with missing papers.
Trojan's Home opener
Tuesday
October 5, 2004
by : Timothy W. Shire
Tisdale : It looks like Trojan fans are in for a good season as the home team came out with a strong win with their first game on home ice this season.
Anglicans' fall sale
Thursday
September 30, 2004
by : Timothy W. Shire
Tisdale : This is a big one with a huge stock of all kinds of products from appliances to new clothing and just about everything in between.
A hole lot bigger
Thursday
September 30, 2004
by : Timothy W. Shire
Tisdale : The edges of the dig have been defined and it looks like the soil removal process was pretty well finished by this afternoon (before the snow) and clean up and refill can begin tomorrow.
Outpost Lacxonton
Thursday
September 30, 2004
Prince Albert : A movie to be shot in Prince Albert next summer is in need of a performer to play Colt Festus a country singing character. This is a notice for auditions for the part.
Tell your leader for me!
Wednesday
September 29, 2004

Tuesday
September 28, 2004
by : Timothy W. Shire

Snow, Blue and an Emperor
Monday
September 27, 2004
by : Timothy W. Shire
Tisdale :The annual migration of arctic birds has begun and as it the case every spring and fall they stop off for a week or more in this part of Saskatchewan. Some years farmers are not particularly pleased with them but this year with the value of the crop in the fields being what it is they are just part of the landscape.
