Friday
October 24, 2008
by: Michael Watkins
Vancouver: This story suggests that there is more than a little deception involved as we discover today that Canada's economic picture is a little less lusterous than advertised and even more disconcerting is the concept that the Prime Minister wants it this way.
Lucas Embroidery
Thursday
October 23, 2008
by: Timothy W. Shire
Tisdale: A new store opened in Tisdale yesterday. Lucas Embroidery has been a home based business for the past few years but now the business has moved into 1005 - 100th St, downtown Tisdale.

Wednesday
October 22, 2008
by: Ken Jones
Belle Plaine: You hear numbers like a million bushels on news stories but what's it like to see that much wheat all at one time. Ken Jones dropped by the new Terra Grain Fuels plant at Belle Plaine this past week and we have the amazing pictures he took.
Parking problems
Wednesday
October 22, 2008
by: Kevin McIntyre
Saskatoon: Of the various problems that can confront us it is certain that finding a parking place can sometimes rate up there with just about anything that can rattle one's sense of being in control.

Thursday
October 16, 2008
by: Judy White

Harper's call for working together a one night stand
Thursday
October 16, 2008
by: Joe Hueglin
Niagara Falls ON: This story is suggesting that the Prime Minister's speech after Tuesday night's election was just some words because his real intention is to take the platform released only days before the election and claim he has a mandate to implement those almost secret measures.
On worrying about worrying about the economy and going green
Wednesday
October 15, 2008
by: Murray McEwan
Tisdale: At the heart of America's economic woes is its reliance upon the automobile both for transportation but also as the economic engine at the heart of its economy. In this story we get to consider the errors made by the manufacturing sector and some solid suggestions as to what we can personally do about our environment and economy.

The uncertainty of October
Tuesday
October 14, 2008
by: Timothy W. Shire
Tisdale: The election is unlikely to clear up the uncertainty that faces us all as the economic woes from the United States are going to affect the whole world, probably more so in countries like Canada, Japan and China which depend on exports to the crumbling US market. But there is more than the economy to have doubts about, this is October.
The Greenwater report
Tuesday
October 14, 2008
by: Gerald Crawford

The need for perspective
Friday
October 10, 2008
by: Timothy W. Shire
Tisdale: This writer is suffering from financial crisis fatigue. The media experts seem confused and so indeed are the viewers as we know not if this is the beginning, the middle or the end of some very unusal times for the stock market, the banking industry and everyone of us as these things deeply affect our lives.
