Tuesday
February 12, 2008
by: Eugene Parks
Victoria B.C.: Our people have done what was needed to be done, they have done more than we asked of them and its time to recognise that little more can be done in a country that has a tradition of constant civil war. It time to come home.

Bush orders clampdown on flights to US
Flights from Europe to the United States are about to become far more controlled with armed marshalls aboard and stringent reporting of passenger lists to the US.

Happenings In Tisdale:

Manipulative record necessitates sober second thought
Tuesday
February 12, 2008
by: Joe Hueglin
Niagara Falls, Ontario: The Harper government does not inspire trust when it comes to making promises about its intentions. Their record in the past suggests that they should not be trusted and committing our military to a war in Afghanistan indefinitely seems like a very unwise thing to do.
The Greenwater report
Monday
February 11, 2008
by: Gerald Crawford
Reno, Nevada: The Crawfords have completed their stay in California having visited LA, San Diego, the coastal highway and San Francisco. This week's report has some great pictures of their adventures.
Farmers caught in the middle
Monday
February 11, 2008
by: Stu Innes
Regina: Like a hockey team the Canadian Wheat Board is only as good as its last game and Mr. Innes points out some serious worries he has about this year's crop which has brought him far less than half its value at this point.
Attack on the Canadian Wheat Board
Thursday
February 7, 2008
by: William Dascavich
Edmonton: The federal government is paying various grain producer groups to oppose the Canadian Wheat Board and make it look like there is farmer support for dismantling the board.
For some "Winning isn't everything it's the only thing"
Thursday
February 7, 2008
by: Peter Ceighton
Mississauga Ontario: Wajid Khan crossed the floor of the House of Commons leaving the Liberal party to become a loyal supporter of the Conservative Party. He was found guilty of violating the Canada Election Act by over spending $31,000 and was fined a mere $500. So much for integrity and the law of the land.
Some Tisdale folks have feathers
Wednesday
February 6, 2008
by: Timothy W. Shire
Tisdale: Our human view of reality is often somewhat clouded by the way we obtain what we consider to be the facts of life. It helps us to see things a little more clearly if we consider how things look from the distinguished and intelligent point of view of our feathered friends, the ravens.
the Greenwater report
Tuesday
February 5, 2008
by: Gerald Crawford
Los Angeles: As the snow piles grow the scenes that seem familiar are changed as mountains of the stuff seem to blind us from buildings and the surrounding area. Even the structures themselves change as snow hides and masks them as we know them.
Albert Eckart
Tuesday
February 5, 2008
Swift Current: We mark the passing of a family member who contributed to this site with a story or two. Eugene Eckart's snow plane, Eckart's Snowplanes, Tulips, Spring in Swift Current and Swift Current Green House.

Changes in Tisdale
Thursday
January 31, 2008
by: Timothy W. Shire
Tisdale: Businesses evolve, some move and some close up. Today we take a brief look at some of the changes that have been coming for a while and now are part of the business scene in our community.
Parkland Photography Club report for January
Tuesday
January 29, 2008
by: Darlene McCullough
Tisdale: Some outstanding cloud pictures came from this month's meeting as the club checked out images from an Emma Lake workshop and projects by club members.
The Greenwater report
Monday
January 28, 2008
by: Gerald Crawford
Salt Lake City Utah: Gerald and Doreen are on a bus tour that will take them to California, they did see a storm but the man describes the weather as balmy.
The Greenwater report
Monday
January 21, 2008
by: Gerald Crawford
Saskatoon: Gerald is not happy with Environment Canada's love affair with wind chill numbers and he was less than enthusiastic about a recent visit to the Mendel Art Gallery. To make matters worse he is packing for a bus tour of the US and that always puts him in a bad mood.
January cold snap
Friday
January 18, 2008
by: Timothy W. Shire
Tisdale: It has been a mild winter so far this season so the -30º this morning with its stiff north wind felt appallingly cold. But the facts of the matter are clear each day we get just a bit more sunlight as we head toward late winter and in a short while spring once more.
Wind country
Wednesday
January 16, 2008
by: Timothy W. Shire
Tisdale: After a storm the huge network of rural roads that service farms and their families have to be cleared and maintained. That job goes to the Royal Municipalities and their dedicated grader operators who work against the wind.
Truth challenged Minister
Wednesday
January 16, 2008
by: Eugene Parks
Victoria B.C.: I am not certain that we will all sleep better tonight knowing that federal Natural Resources minister Gary Lund is now personally taking charge of nuclear safety in Canada after firing Linda Keen the official who's job it was to protect Canadians from nuclear disasters.
Shawn Cowie, December player of the month
Wednesday
January 16, 2008
by: Timothy W. Shire
